Children of the Illuminated

The Children of the Illuminated aka Cevalians are worshipers of the creator god Ceval. Worshippers of Ceval are more found in elven and human societies as he is the one that created the two races. The head priest in [kingdom] has a heavy influence over the kingdom. He is very respected, albeit a little crazy. Those that call themselves Cevalians have more of a cult like mentality. That’s thanks to the head priest. He is a very charismatic man that easily gains followers. They judge others harshly, especially those that do not worship their god. It is a great crime to worship anyone or anything else. Many have been thrown in jail just because they choose not to worship Ceval. Dwarves are not welcome into the kingdom because they worship one of Cevals children. A lowly god child. Those that call themselves the Children of the Illuminated oddly enough, have a healthier outlook on their faith. They worship in solitude but have a temple for those to visit if they wish. There are gatherings at this temple for holidays, births, weddings, and anything that is worth celebrating with those around you. The only people that live in the temple are the priest and a few devout followers that wish to reside there. This faith is more specifically found in elvish communities. Being the first race created by the god king they are more rooted in their beliefs and are truer to the will of Ceval himself. Those that choose to worship generally wake up before dawn to greet the sun like they would an old friend. Humans can channel Cevals childlike wonder, while the elves are more like Vulcans and are very stuck up. They do not understand the whimsy of humans. They find it disgusting and unruly. This is not how their god would want them to act. They act like Nevarth and he was a crazy man. He should have been a human.
