Imperial Fleet

The space navy of The Great Astral Empire didn't begin as a hastily thrown collection of the metropolitan planets' vessels as it is widely believed. Although every available ship was eventually used to some extent in the years before the declaration of the new Astral Empire, the future Starlords and Starladies had secretly begun a common shipbuliding (and buying) program.
At the head of the Imperial Fleet is the High Admiral Starlord Michael Emcay.
The IF is divided in 3 Fleet Commands and each command in 3 Fleet Divisions. Although the IF tries to be as effective and efficient as possible (as every organisation in the empire) there is a clear preference for the heavier battleships.
The Imperial Fleet is viewed as the glue that holds together the fabric of the empire.
