The Warrior

Maghnus, Patron of War, The Warrior

Maghnus is the Patron of War, of eternal strife and struggle. He is worshiped widely by warriors and soldiers, great military generals often pray to him before battles. Maghnus is known to determine the outcome of a fight before it even happens, the one who is the most worthy is often decided to be the victor before the fight even begins. It is for this reason that many who face any conflict head on pray to the Patron of War and ask that he choose their side in it. Maghnus does not have compassion for the craven however, and sees no reason to offer them any sympathy or remorse. The favored phrase of Moran soldiers " A coward's mother does not weep. " is believed to have originally been said by Maghnus himself when he first appeared to mortals on a battlefield. The truly devout worshipers of Maghnus often sacrifice great warriors they've defeated in battle and many animal tributes to him in times of war to gain more of his favor. Those who have never backed away from a fight and always faced a challenge head on are welcomed to Ampitheaterra in the afterlife. The Warrior himself welcomes his fellow warriors to a grand coliseum where one does not feel pain, and wounds heal in seconds, so that they may continue to partake in the sport of war for eternity.
