The blue flame itself, the first form of magic. Ut is fire, Ut is light, life and energy. Ut is the form itself of magic, and there´s no magic before Ut

Effect

Ut is blue fire. It´s form depends on the will of the mage, but it´s essence is always the same: blue fire, burning, charring, singing blue fire.

Side/Secondary Effects

Ut it´s the very first form of magic, one that every mage learns. As such, the most noxious side effect of the learning of Ut it´s the implicit creation of an Echo.

Manifestation

Ut appears as a blue flame, a fire that moves slighty slower than the common fire. It emits a shining, bright blue light, makes no smoke, it´s hotter than common fire, and smells like melted, kind of minty glass. It plays a big, sonourous note upon appearing, and whispers a low cristaline tune for it´s duration, one that changes from mage to mage.

Discovery

The exact moment of the discovery of Ut it´s lost in time, but can be traced up to the first men on Asmate, upon enterig in contact with the Blue flame.

Material Components

As all the magic of the Blue Flame, for it´s use it requires flame to be charge on the body of the caster, trough direct contact with a source of Blue flame. Worth considering it´s that, when a mage it´s shining with flame, becomes a beacon for the echoes.

Gestures & Ritual

Like all the magic of the Blue Flame, it´s use it´s quite instinctive. Gestures and wording varies from mage to mage, but they are usually rather simple (A snap, a flick, a whistle...), different for every mage.
