FA, the fading

FA is the song of light, the chant that dispells reality on stardust. Fa makes teh flame ethereal, and then return it to it´s previous state as of ending of the chant. Fa can´t hit hard, but neither is easy to hit Fa. They will fear us, for we have no form.

Effect

Fa turns the flame (UT) ethereal, dispells it on light, bolts or just dust, giving the flame tremendous velocity and taking it´s offensive capabilities. The ultimate effect depends on the mage, it´s training and purpose, but it ranges from blinking/teleporting to enabling a quicker transmision of the flame on the authomats.

Side/Secondary Effects

Fa turns magic in ether, on dust. As such, the forms that use it to turn teleport the body are fairly dangerous, even lethal, for the inexperienced mage, where the ones that turn flame into bolts can be utterly frustrating to control and give purpose. As such, may not be the best idea to use Fa based spells given your maind or body are tired.

Manifestation

It changes from spell to spell, and from mage to mage. Usually takes the form of slim bolts, semitransparent flames, blue light, little spheres firefly like, and so so. It also comes out with a short musical cue that vanishes in high, crystaline crescendo.

Discovery

Discovery of Fa goes far in time, so much that little is know nowadays about the exact moment. It was after the discovery of La, undoubtedly, and seems that it´s first seen use on the outskirts of the Observatorio, by explorers of the elder ruins. Later seen use as a quick messaging source, movement spells and safety measures. It´s use as a ordered lightning it´s far more recent, and directly related to Mi and the needs of the construction of the first authomats.

Usually, just needs a clear metal image, a magical drive, and lots of practice and repetition. It needs this for every spell/form, however.

Effect Duration

With no further addition, Fa longs as long as the will of the mage keeps in work, or the flame in the mage ends. Usually not a long as othe forms, being an unstable chant as it is, capable of extremely harmful backfire.

Range

Usually it affects flame or elements in direct contact with the mage. As for range of distance, it can cover several kilometers on matter of seconds, in a light like form, yet much more slow that actual light.

Level

First grade chant: Form. A basic range chant, though an uncommon first chant, given its problems.

Applied Restriction

Fa it´s incompatible with La. The learning of one form makes the learning of the other impossible. Mage has to be flame charged, and well calculate how much. Fa can be abused over the flame charge, but it will most certainly take limbs or body parts as payment for it´s overuse. Second, it needs a clear pacing, on it´s blink/movement forms, this because one cant see where is blinking after starting the blink. Usually short distances on direct use, or aided by the magic net for long distance use.
