Overview

Valmora is a hearty nation founded on honor and respect. The current King, Vegrar Wintertide, is an iron-willed but respected leader that rules fairly over his people. The people of Valmora are devout followers of Amaunator, the Sun God. A nation wrought by year-round ice and snow worshipping a sun god may seem ironic, but the people of Valmora pray to Amaunator for light winters and to shed light on their frozen towns. Their faith in him is so strong that temples dedicated to him were erected in each town and village, with the largest of them being constructed in the mountains overlooking Trestenshult.
The towns and villages that circle the Icewind Mountains are largely self-sufficient, as travel along the roads is nearly impossible most months of the year. Furthermore, monsters are a common sight along these routes. Often, when supplies or a message needs to be sent to one or more towns from the Capital, adventurers will be recruited to do the job.
