Also known as the Year of Ash, the 150th year of Wyrueir's rule began with a night that lasted for three days.

The 150th year of the 7th Age began with three straight days of darkness. What followed was a dramatic increase in Voider activity, a rise in the number of still-born babies, unrest of the beasts of the land, a very poor harvest, a long drought, and an outbreak of forest fires (an incredible number).   It is often sighted as the darkest hour for the people of Arrijion; the only hope getting them through being that it is the prophesized year of the Ashblood's birth. Thus, in addition to the name given to the year in the prophecy (Year of Midnight becoming the Midnight Year), it became known as the Year of Ash in honor of the Ashblood and in memory to the loss from the flames.
