Ashadar

Ashadar is a massive continent that takes much of the Prime Material plane. Its regions are vast and varied, much like the peoples that dwell within it. These are dangerous times, where knowledge and power are fought for with tooth and nail by those ambitious enough to wield both. The citizens of the dozen kingdoms that litter the land pray to maintain their livelihoods and are too focused on putting bread on the table to ever seek adventure. With every region filled with dangerous beasts and elements, there are few options for one under oppression.   This makes adventurers rarer than the armies seeking conquest over more domains. Whatever drives these brazen mortals is a question asked by most who meet them. To risk one's life again and again for a higher purpose draws both fear and awe from those who have only tentatively stepped just beyond the protection of their kingdoms. Alternatively, there exists many factions, guilds, and investors who would be inspired to use mercenaries to fulfill their own agendas.   In the shadows, obscured by warring nations and raging dragons, there are dark secrets and entities acting to enact sinister deeds that may forever change the world and plunge it into a darker fate.
