Northymbrian
Most people tend to think that we are savages, living at the edge of the world in near constant winter. Food is hard to come by. It pushes people to their edges. It hardens them like the glaciers, or breaks like the biting winters of this land. It's normal to think that we would all bend, but I promise this world and all the gods that live in it one thing: I will embody what it means to be a Northymbrian. I will unite these barbaric tribes. And I will show them that there is more to this world than God, Glory, and Gold!
~Torbjorn Fjordson, on the day he founded the Fjordian Alliance.

You can see these themes in how Northymbrians treat their guest, how they treat friends and family, and how they view politics and religion.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
While pregnant you are expected to stay inside as much as possible and not go out into the harsh cold that is the Northymbrian climate. Other than that, the mother is allowed almost complete control of how she wants her birth to go, within reason.
