Familiars

Familiars, or familiar spirits, often misattributed as demonic in nature, are shapeshifting fae that often assist witches when they are coming into their powers, providing protection and later serving those witches or providing companionship. They most often take the forms of small animals, like cats, birds, rats, frogs, toads, or hares, though they can fall outside of those shapes.
