Anura
The Anura are swamp-dwelling sapiens with many froglike qualities. Also called swampers, womps, hoppers, neppies, slimeskins (derogatory), hoppity boppitys, etc. Characteristics include: relatively long limbs in comparison to their torsos and are very limber; extra joints that humans do not possess; extremely long and strong tongues that can be used with terrifying precision and skill in combat; small, retractable barbs on said tongues to help with gripping? Secondarily, spears are used as native weapons to the Anura, similar to those used in fishing. Culturally, they are polytheistic, with their own pantheon and traditions. One such tradition includes their newly emerging young fully sprouting their developed legs and making their way onto land for celebration. These rituals often include many tadpoles progressing to their next stage of life at varying speeds and the process may take from hours up to days. Most frog people reside in the swamp settlement known as Nepril.
