Firbolg

The Firbolg are an imposing race of fey beings somewhat related to (or shaped in image of) the smaller giantkin of Asarmat. They have slightly bovine features that tend to change to closely resemble whichever pack animals live where they live, as well as blue-tinted skin and pointed ears that betray their fey ancestry.   Less inclined to civilization-building compared to Elves and Gnomes, Firbolg nonetheless crossed from the Fey Realm at the same time and have coexisted with the rest of the world's many inhabitants ever since. Prone to wandering yet with a strong desire for community, Firbolg form roaming bands that eventually settle in frontier or fringe locations as extended, adopted 'families' - mostly with their own kind, though this is more due to a lifestyle necessity instead of a hard filter. Their often-placid nature, great physical strength, light inherent magical abilities and ability to connect with most wildlife on a primal level has made Firbolg much-loved in farming, herding or foraging communities.   In the Kingdom of Mir, Firbolg are uncommon but can be found throughout the nation with a higher concentration of them around Viceroyalty of Calaim and Viceroyalty of Nogir. Many of them join the clergies of the more communal and family oriented deities - such as Nyctaria, Chaemal and Hultaca - and serve as roving priests or become adventurers.
