As Above, World Below

There once was a time where the gods were intangible entities, only known by the blessings they bestowed upon those that worshiped through their whispers. Though they may have created and consisted of the world now occupied by life itself, direct interaction between the gods and mortals has been strained at best, clouded by layers of mystique and redirection at worst.   That is, until, the Isle started traversing the sky.   Every denomination has its stories about how the Isle came to be, but regardless of the tale told there it existed - a massive collection of land, now in the sky, hovering high above the world as if it was looking down. No sciences known explained it, no magicians truly could lay claim to it, but one day, centuries later, the answer came flying off the side of the Isle and shook the World Below.   And now, it had to deal with the consequences.   The World Below is in a state of conflict and transition, stuck battling between the Old Ways and the New Ways. As helpless as forgotten gods may be, sometimes they provoke enough... enough to start a revolution.
