Orcish Grappa

  • Elderberry
  • Mandrake leaves
  • Fresh Basilisk Blood
  • (secret spices)
First drain the juice of the elderberry for other uses, place the pomace in a water tight petrified tree barrel, lined with mandrake leaves. Then Bury in the snow and let it ferment for six months. Distill three times. Now use the blood of a freshly slain Basilisk to steam the remaining elderberry pomace creating a slurry. Press again to get the juices to separate from the slurry. Add the secret spices and age for no less than 24 months in a dry cold cellar. Do not open under any circumstance prior to 24 months.   It will get you wasted.   (DC 18 Con save.)  

Arcadian Absinthe

  • Star Anise
  • Fennel
  • Wyrmwood
  • Hibiscus
  • Elderberry
  • Lavender
  • Sage
  • Mint
  • (& secret spices)
  Using the juice of freshly squeezed Elderberry soak the wyrmwood and spices. Add neutral Alcohol distilled using purified holy water. Distill, distill, distill. Place the lavender, sage, mint, and other secret ingredients to in a burlap sack let soak in the mixture. Filter until you have a pure purple alcohol. Pour into a chilled Absinthe fountain and drip the alcohol over a sugar cube made from faerie dust and serve.   (DC 15 Con save)  

Gnomish Thimblebrew

  • Cane Sugar
  • “Nectar”
  • Cinnamon
  • Star Fruit
This is an easy one to make. Simply gather up some pure cane sugar, Cinnamon, and star fruit, find your local Nymph and barter from some “Nectar” for the love of Pete don’t ask what’s in it. I did once and, lets just say you’ll be happier not knowing. Now once the star fruit is at it’s peak ripeness and has started to ferment mix it all together and start to distil. Once distilled place in a rosewood barrel and age for 5 years.  

Dwarven Firebrand

  • Dwarven Oats
  • Cinnamon
  • Dragon Peppers
  • Tears of the Djinn
  • Salamander heart
  Dwarven Firebrand Is one of my number one sellers around here. I’m not going to give away the secret of how to make it. I will tell you though if you aren’t careful you’ll end up creating a drink that will literally burn the throat and possibly cause death. You may want to avoid that.  

Orphan Tears

  • Essence of purified water elemental
  • Holy Water
  • Devil Fruit
  Concecrate and bless all equipment. While an ordained priest chants a purification spell, Twice distill. Keep distilling until it begins to glow a heavenly light baby blue. Warning if the mixture is not right the drink is highly toxic. Tao of Sake  

Blood mold

  • Fine Royal rice
  • Pure essence of a water elemental
  • Dragons breath
  • Young Cherry Blossoms
  The essence of the Tao of Sake is in part the ingredients however, the process of creating it is 90% of what it is. Failing to follow each step correctly will result in the batch simply being destroyed. First you must begin with the blood mold. Cultivating the blood mold must be done in a in an extremely hot and moist environment. For this I would recommend bringing in a large amount of purified water into an active volcanic tunnel. Over the next 56 hours you can cultivate the the mold as needed. If the temperature or water ratio is off at all the blood mold will die and the batch will be ruined.   Once the blood mold is cultivated you will need to apply it to the fine royal rice. In an extremely hot dry area so that the blood mold will draw all of the moisture out of the rice before dying off leaving the ideal enzymes used in making our koji. Sunlight will kill off said enzymes thus why I recommenced making it in the base of a volcanic tunnel.   Next you will want to use the Pure essence of a water elemental to steam the rice. This will bind the enzyme and the rice together and hydrate the rice. No substitutes will work in this process. You may now use torch light to sort the grains of rice. Those that have properly fused together will have turned into a perfect silver grain. Those that have not must now be discarded. In darkness again apply more blood mold and hydrated again. Again sort out the grains that failed to adhere to the blood mold enzymes. Repeat this process a total of 7 times.   Using a press you will drain the remaining liquid from the rice. While this rice makes excellent portage it’s not good for anything else in the brewing process.   Now using the Dragons breath you will distill the liquid. At first a crytal clear by product will flow out. Discard that. For the next 3 to 4 hours a luminescent silver fluid will flow out of the still. Place in a specially made container.   Finally add a single cherry blossom leaf. It will flavour the entire batch. Adding more than that will make the entire batch taste too strong. Age for 101 years.   That is the simple explanation on how to make the Tao of Sake.
