Eremantiism
This is the worship of Eremantýa (eh-reh-mahn-tyay-ah), a god. According to Eremantiin belief, Eremantýa was the first creature alive, a genderless, sexless being without a form. They apparently created the world, the stars, the worlds outside ours, the moons, everything. This is all told in the Erimentýnir, which means, in Old Artkameza , The Book of Eremantýa, or Eremantýa's book. It teaches of what happened when the world was made, how things are as they are today, and many lessons on how to live your life.
Structure
Elermantiism is made up of a system of religious leaders, monks, and temples. Elermantiism emphasizes personal connection with Elermantia, so there is no church hierarchy (like in Catholicism).
Worship is done at an altar, and every Elermantii has at least one in their homes. Outside of the home, prayer is done at a temple.
The spiritual leaders of this religion are called A Fym (ah-fyem) , who serve as experts in religious questions and are there to guide you in your worship.
Datorý (dah-tor-yay) are individuals who choose to give up sex, alcohol, and drugs, so they can practice more deeply their devotion to Eremantya. They veil their heads and cover their faces in masks, and only unveil when around other datorý. The heading of this article is a drawing of two datorý
Culture
Their religion teaches them to view all living things as sacred. They aren't vegetarians, but they have specific rituals for slaughtering animals and harvesting. You must kill the animal quickly and painlessly. Don't let them know they are about to die. They must be killed with one blow. With fishing, using a pole causes the fish too much stress. Thus, they are commanded to only hunt fish with a spear. All fallen animals must be prayed over before being prepared for food. Most people, however, don't follow all these rules.
