Artifice

A post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller story where after the end of a world war, humans that have modified their bodies with artificial enhancements were the only ones capable of surviving a plague that killed almost all human life during the war. Years later, the last of society resides in Terminus, a rebuilt metropolis. Caiden, a federal police agent, investigates a terrorist force that poses an increasing threat against Terminus and the country. During the investigation, he reveals a conspiracy that threatens to endanger society and the world. His journey leads him to join a terrorism task force that's willing to do whatever is necessary to protect what remains. Caiden, reluctant to bring justice to those who murdered his wife, embarks on a path that's filled with dark truths and secrets. This story and setting were inspired by fictional works such as Blade Runner, Death Stranding, Ghost in the Shell, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Sicario.
