Arrecrest

A world that flows directly from the Wey Mountain the source of all magic and life in Arrecrest. The central mountain has many names given by many races and is a religious site for most. The conflict around it has been continuous for as long as communities have been able to speak.   The world is ruled by the flowing mana that comes from the central mountain. Wey can be stored and processed and depending on each civilisations advancement, they have learned to use it for specialised reasons. The human countries have utilised it and processed it into their building, expansive networks of towns and cities.   The world works because of this magic and whoever controls its source, claims ultimate power over the land. They can dictate tariffs and taxes on the other kingdoms and usually grow prosperous quickly. They also become the targets of military alliances and their rulers victims of assassination.   The world is diverse and culturally expansive, 'Wey' dictates climate, biozones, and is even suspected to govern the lunar cycles of its two moons.
