Seawatch

Hugging the Jotunn Highlands and Bay of kings, this coastal town is led none other then a goliath, a civilized one at that. The people in Seawatch are known for two things; their love of the mountain peaks and for the sea at their feet. Seawatch has a bustling fishing and sea trade economy, bolstered by their mining trade. Outsiders see the people of Seawatch as crazed for ascending the the Jotunn highland range, as it is a treacherous landscape to the faint of heart, but much of the settlement encompasses the outlying homes and structures built up the mountainside. Sherpa’s lead courageous explorers up the steep paths knowing the safest regions in the giants domain. Seawatch is also home to a number of goliath citizens, who reside mostly within and surrounding The Steps. The giants enslavement of Goliath kind had pushed the goliath people to the fringes of the mountain range. Over a century ago, a number of goliath tribes of the Jotun Highlands came to the Human lands of Estrana, first contact being Seawatch, seeking refuge. Most nomadic goliath tribes still traverse the Highlands, but a certain few have settled in and around Seawatch.

Demographics

Seawatch Shore   When one first steps into Seawatch, they do so via this area of Seawatch where the town meets the waves and rocky beaches if the Bay of Kings. Any vendoring, business, or revelry occurs here.   The Steps   The north end of Seawatch climbs up the narrow pathways that ascend up the jotunn highlands, this region of Seawatch is generally calm and quiet, with its homesteads that line edges of the cliffsides peering out towards the bay. A shrine lies at the edge of The Steps where residents deliver goods which are hauled up the highlands by sherpa’s who subsequently gift them to the Goliaths of the Highlands. These bands of Goliaths in turn keep the Highland giants from migrating towards Seawatch.
