Mortimer

A middle class town at the crossroads of the south clearing of Plainsmeet, Mortimer was originally a midsize miners town due to its vicinity to the Gold Slopes and also a thriving farming community. Overtime it has grown to be a prominent trade destination with the various settlements within the southern reach. Alot of travellers claim Mortimer as there favored rest stop coming to and from Stillacre and Steerpike. Trade aside, the true reason for Mortimer's popularity is its claim to fame; beer, mead, ale, and other assorted alcohol. The brewhouses of Mortimer have branded likely the most sought after ale in the Northern realms. Twice a year, the brewhouses of Mortimer and alemakers from afar bring there concoctions to the 'Fest-of-ale' to claim their brand the greatest in the kingdom, during these times the population of Mortimer swells to bursting.
