Ironbreach

Ironbreach is a lofty and resilient citadel sitting between a split in the mountain crags called Twin Peak Pass, at the southwest tip of the Jotun Highlands. This garrison has provided two primary uses to the free republic; firstly, It keeps out unwanted outsiders from entering the Rivenwald domain. Two pathways exist towards Rivenwald, the first crosses the Vahl’Kelavi mire, being Oakbridge territory, the terrain itself a natural barrier to reaching Rivenwald. The preferred path leads through Ironbreach, the shield of Rivenwald, stopping enemies in their tracks from raiding the city.  Secondly, some of the finest soldiers are trained in Ironbreach, its academy specializes in all manner of martial prowess and war tactics. Warriors who complete their training in Ironbreach are deemed Knights of the Breach, and are expected to use their proficiency in the defense of the helpless from miscreants and evildoers. Ironbreach comprises 2600 military reserves and 500 residents for upkeep of the citadel, and provisioners to feed the warriors.   Ironbreach is governed by 4 warmasters, each of which is the leader of 1 of the 4 military regiments: Aegis, Deadeye, Kata, Dreadnaught.

Demographics

The Narrow March   The long stretch through the twin peak path is narrow, and holds little to no cover, making an assault on the front gates of Ironbreach a grim endeavor for the invaders.   Foebreaker Battlements   The Narrow March eventually leads to the western gates of Ironbreach suitably named the Foebreaker Battlements, as invading enemies from the narrow path are decimated by the sheer destructive force of the battlements arsenal. With ballistae, catapults, and trebuchet lining the walls of the battlements, most foe’s don’t even make it near the gates before their forces are spent.   The Warmaster Assembly   A circle of halls lies at the center of the bladeyard within the walled garrison itself, raised on a platform overlooking the knights and trainees. The warmaster assembly is utilized as a command office for the warmasters and place of honor for knightly ceremonies. The hall of justice and its paladins also accompany the warmaster assembly.   The Bladeyard   A large region within the garrison that surrounds the assembly. The Bladeyard is primarily used as the training grounds and barracks for the Knights of the Breach and their disciples.   The Day Market   The eastern end of the garrison is less militarized then the west end, with residential and commercial regions for the everyday workers who maintain the integrity and sustainability of Ironbreach. The Day market is a small block of vendors and an inn and tavern that provides both travellers, residents and knights a place to spend their coin.   Laymans Ward   The Laymans ward is entirely packed with residential homes for the workers of Ironbreach. Some of the residents also reside outside the eastern wall as well.
