Havelstead

The small hamlet of Havelstead rests at the precipice of the northern Durendal sanction, among the edge of the vast Emerald Timberlands of the north. Although close to the frontlines, it has not been occupied for military needs, instead the northern crown forces have garrisoned in Duren's crossing for its size and defences. With Enforcement run thin with the royal war, Havelstead lies vulnerable with minimal guard or militia, although a reasonably well known adventuring company called the Gilded Compass has generously offered a few of their very capable agents to tend to the defensive needs of the hamlet.
Havelstead sits at the southeastern tip of the Jotun Highlands surrounded by the vast Emerald Timberlands. This small hamlet supports its economy with a quality logging trade with Port Sentinel for boatbuilding lumber, the wood of the Emerald Timberlands is superior for building boats to the lumber from the Ivy woods. Havelstead also boasts a decent hunting trade partly as a necessity in order to prevent dangerous wildlife population to grow to vast but also with a fur trade as a secondary result.
