Dwarf

The North once belonged to the Dwarves, but their population dwindled and their cities were sundered during the age of Orcs, they were pushed to the walls of their fortresses of Dun'Thormiir and Dun'Morheim, finding safe haven beneath the ground. After centuries of war they found salvation at the arrival of humankind. Now, the cities of Dun'Thormiir have grown deep within the world and the two houses of Dwarves have become independent of one another. Dwarves are widespread amongst the human nations of Varendal and Estrana and are greatly accepted among these nations. Varendali and Dwarves share much in common regardless of their race.   The Dwarven people revere their god, The Allhammer, for their lives revolves are building, mining, invention and craftsmanship. A Dwarf is intrinsically connected to rock and stone, for they are rock and stone. They are stout, rugged, resilient and heavy handed. When a Dwarf reaches the end of their lifespan, their flesh begins to slowly turn to stone, when they eventually expire, their bodies harden to solid rock. The statues in a Dwarven tomb is, in fact, the ancestors of the living Dwarves of the present day.
