Vish'na

"Natives that used to live in the edge of these wood-choked lands cooked up all kinds of tales, from shape-shifting demons that come out at night to Bison so large their backs scrape the very tree tops.   But sitting here in the dark, at the edge of this, this all-consuming forest...   I can't help but wonder if there is any truth to those wild tales after all."

Geography

Vish'na, its name derived from the native naming Vish'natar, which means Moon forest, is a territory home to a massive boreal forest, dotted by river-spewing mountains in the continent of Arkros. As it's original name suggests, Vish'na is most stunning at night, where one can see the moon rise in it's full glory over the darkened, sprawling forest.

Fauna & Flora

The Spruce tree is the most abundant plant in Vish'na, as it composes the majority of the dense boreal forest that stretches across the vast territory of Vish'na.   Vish'na is home to all kinds of northern fauna, from the bulky Wood Bison to the tiny Voles. Vish'na is also home to the fabled Nak'tosh, which roughly means, 'Big hoofed'.   Nak'tosh are purported to be Wood Bison so monstrously large their backs scrapes the very tree tops of Vish'na's forests. Aside from a few so-called 'sightings' by Natives and Lumberjacks, there is no evidence the Nak'tosh does, or ever did, exist.

Natural Resources

Vish'na is abundant in natural resources, thanks to it's dense forests, large still lakes, and its flowing mountain-born rivers. These provide, respectively, the wood that fuels construction, machines and warms the hands of men at night, the steam that flows through hissing mechanical wonders, and the sandstone that is used to create massive buildings and intricate works of art.
