Trains

Arkhe is in an industrial period so trains have recently been built as a mode of transportation. Throughout Laevina and most of Ien, tracks are laid out and connect the entire country or continent. Currently they are the main and most convenient form of travel over long distance and revolutionized the transportation of materials and cargo throughout the country. In the case of Laevina in particular, the largest track can be found in its central city Atrena. Almost all tracks eventually lead into it, so it's considered a hub for business and opportunity. However, because of this, many runaways end up here after hoping on trains as well. Luxury trains have been built for an even more extravagant traveling experience and those who get to experience them are the talk of the town for a little while.

Power Generation

It is powered through a magic crystal based engine that needs to be checked and maintained similarly to the old trains in our world.
Rarity
They'e become commonplace in some areas of the world, but in mountainous or forested areas like Yumon or Nenzir, there aren't many trains or vehicles to be found.
Length
Length will depend on what that particular train is meant to do. For example, a freight train could be anywhere from 6,000-8,000 ft long while passenger trains average around 1,000-2,000 ft.
Speed
The trains go about 60mph on average.
Complement / Crew
There are train conductors and engineers on board and if it's a longer trip, there will be a dining car complete with kitchen staff and waiters. In luxury trains the kitchens will be fully staffed and there will be staff take care of rooms for long trips.
Cargo & Passenger Capacity
Standard passenger trains can carry up to about 500 people, while luxury trains will carry about 200-300. Freight trains can carry up to 18,000-20,000 tons, but if need be, they can be enchanted to hold more (though this happens rarely).
