Thánatos Eínai Télos

Thánatos Eínai Télos (literally translated to "death is end") is one of the most-binding laws of the Agalenthian Empire. In short, Thánatos Eínai Télos regulates the usage of resurrection magic to prevent inheritance crises. When a noble dies, including one of the ruling family, the title is passed on to the heir. If the original owner of the title is resurrected, their title does not get passed back to them. However, the person is not barred from inheriting or receiving other titles post-resurrection.    The original document is kept safe within the Argent Palace in The Grand City of Loressa, but a duplicate is kept on display in the House of Laws.

Caveats

Under normal circumstances, a resurrected noble is barred from ever inheriting their previous title again. However, the only time they could inherit the same title a second time is if they are the sole-surviving member of their dynasty.
