The Law of Attributes of Magic

Magic consists of several attributes, much like a world relies on it’s elements. These attributes can be combined with each other, but doing so requires a perfect understanding of magic. As of now, only the best were able to combine multiple attributes in order to create their own attribute.

BASIC ATTRIBUTES

Divine

The divine magic in this world can only be used by the gods, as this is their gift upon creation. Many have attempted to recreate this magic, or even learn it, but none have succeeded.

Natural

Much like the world is divided in elements, natural magic is divided in different attributes. These being earth, water and fire. Most people who posses this ‘magic of nature’ only posses one of these three attributes.

Earth

Since earth is one of the most common elements found in nature and being one of the strongest, earth magic is mostly used to create barriers and defenses during battles. It can be used in attacks, but generally is not very effective.

Water

This magic has no battle purposes and, if not mixed with other magic, is generally useless. Alchemists generally use this magic combined with others to create powerful potions or utilize the water properties to enhance a spell’s power.

Fire

Fire magic is a destructive attribute. Due to the destructive properties of this magic, and the ease of mastering it, it is the most common attribute used in battle.

Light

Light magic is different from all other attributes, as this attribute can be learned. However, you have to be devoted to the High Church of the Goddess of Light in order for the scholars to teach you this magic. Through this devotion, the Goddess of Light herself will grant you the use of this magic, only if she thinks the individual is fit for the power.

Darkness

Darkness is the most destructive attribute an individual can have. It’s a difficult attribute to master. People who have tried, and pursued the power in an attempt to learn the magic, have destroyed themselves in the process. It is a forbidden type of magic for a reason…
