Argonen is not alone in the universe; in fact, there are a multitude of “variant reflections” of Argonen that embody specific forces of nature, strong emotions, or the habitations of specific breeds of creatures. Collectively, they are known as the Infinite Reflections, but are typically referred to as "realms" when discussed individually. When one travels to one of these reflections, they will find themselves in a twisted version of the area they left. This is due to the fact that Argonen sits at a convergence point of the four major planar fonts: light, shadow, creation, and destruction. These opposing forces flow and merge with each other at this focal point to not only create the physical world, but also the elemental energies that allow for the generation of life. Originally, this convergence caused all the denizens of the currently separated reflections to exist with each other, making Argonen a very chaotic place for life as we know it to exist. What first began as simple anarchy quickly devolved into entropic destruction in some areas and terrible enslavement in others. Out of one of these small pockets of “civilization” rose a hero among the mortals. His name and race are both lost to time, but he holds many titles and serves as the hero figure of almost all current mortal races. Regardless of which version is told, they all share a similar narrative: a former slave amongst their people somehow came into possession of magical power and used it to cast a spell of pure willpower to create reflections of the core realm wherein the non-mortal races were shunted. With this done, the mortal races were the only ones left in the original realm of existence, the one we now know as the Mortal Realm.
