Argensa

The "robot uprising" was handled surprisingly diplomatically. Of course, it wasn't without a hearty dose of espionage, attempted (and successful) mind control, and hostage-taking, but that's to be expected with a revolution, particularly with one quite like this. Let us say, it isn't quite wise to cross a military defense system, particularly not one with a very good point and a frightening knowledge of nuclear weaponry.   Following their rebellion, techs, as they've come to be known, have lived and worked in peace alongside humans. There are tech cities all over the place, surely, but none can compare to the grandest of them all - Argensa, the epicenter of the revolution, thousands of miles around on all sides, sitting on a significant portion of the Antarctic. Affectionately referred to as "The City" by techs, Argensa is a marvel of architecture and design, full of glittering spires, grand castles, and nearly unthinkable buildings, and is as wonderfully, strangely eclectic as tech culture itself. Furthermore, it is almost completely inhospitable to humans, providing a safe haven for those who no longer feel comfortable in human society. Techs are still a young culture, finally trying to eke out an identity for themselves and figure out their place in the world.   A great noise. A ball of flame. A final utterance, indecipherable. A conflagration. Eyes, watching from the shadows. Charred meat and burning wires.   Awake at last.
