Reign of Baran II

Political event

Baran II continued the naval traditions of his father and his namesake. He captured Hefrin of Adholis when Hefrin led a pirate to raid the coasts once more. Hefrin leaped from the window of his cell rather than be executed and died on the rocks below.   In 1396, he sailed the Dreadnaught northwards, attempting to reach the northern lands of Endestred by sea, but a great storm wrecked the ship on a small island and Baran nearly died of a cold-disease. He was rescued and recovered, but succumbed to the same disease five years later.
