Bellan Ironheart was the only legitimate child of Robert the Stallion, but he had two sons beside her. In 1321, one of them, Hanburn the Spider, claimed the throne. When he was refused, he gathered support from the east, especially from Trebost (which was part of his mother's domain), and revolted against the Queen. The fighting stretched on for almost six years before he was finally defeated at the Battle of Glenrill in the winter of 1326, where Bellan killed him herself. In the aftermath of the battle, his sons Anburn and Terfin escaped southwards, eventually establishing the Free City of Adholis.
