Discovery of Twilium and Black Steel

Deep within a mountain, the Üth discovered twilium. By combining this compound with iron, they could create black steel.

The discovery of twilium within the deepest, darkest depths of the eastern mountains allowed for the invention of black steel. By combining this pitch black compound with iron, an alloy that was so black it seemed to suck the light from the air was created. Black steel proved to be many times stronger than iron. The Üth Kingdom, at the time, had made the discovery, and immediately expanded mining operations to gather as much as they could. This discovery is known as the start of the Age of Steel.
