"The Lumps" Origin
Not an actual ancestry, but this physical disorder affects the physical characteristics and social perception of a human enough to warrant its own stats. What commoners refer to as “the Lumps” is a rare physical condition that causes irregular growth of muscles all throughout the body, leaving one’s physical appearance deformed. Some muscles are enormous, while others are normal or small, giving a distinct “lumpy” impression.
The superstitious and less informed believe the disorder to be contagious, adding a social stigma to the disorder, and often causing those who possess it to be shunned by society.
Traits of those with "The Lumps"
In in place of the traits of your base ancestry, you instead gain these traits.Ability Score Increase
Your Constitution and Strength scores both increase by 1. In addition, you may raise one of those ability scores by an additional 1. If you wish, you may also decrease either your Dexterity or your Charisma by 1 and increase either Constitution or Strength (the one you have not already chosen) by 1 more. Your irregular muscle growth has caused you to be stronger and more resistant to disease than most, but it often affects one's limberness or social interactions.Horrifying Visage
As an action you may reveal your face to those in a 15 foot cone in front of you. Creatures in this cone that can see you and have an intelligence of more than 2 must make a Wisdom saving throw. The DC for this save is equal to 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. Creatures who fail this save are frightened of you for one minute. A frightened target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the frightened condition on itself on a success. After you use this ability, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or Long Rest.Intimidating Appearance
You gain proficiency in Intimidation checks. Additionally, when you make a Charisma (Intimidation) check, you can roll one Intuition die, a d4, and add the number rolled to the ability check.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
