Ascomanni

A combat focused collection of people that form the tribes and nations in the icy southern reaches of Ardunor. The dominant ancestry of these peoples are the dragonborn. While other ancestries can be found among this culture, dragonborn form the vast majority, and are usually the warriors of the tribes.
This culture has an incredibly long history of conflict, and was one of the very few cultures that survived the Üth Empire. During the reign of the Üth, the Ascomanni had a constant, and worthy opponent. Since its fall, however, the dragonborn tribes have resorted to raiding anything within reach (and sometimes beyond reach).
The Ascomanni inspire fear in their enemies, and many have taken to calling them Ashmen, as a few tribes have been known to cover their scales in the ashes from the destruction that they cause. Most Ascomanni despise the term, and it would be wise not to throw the term around with a dragonborn nearby.
