No one knows how the world was made, simply that it has been there for as long as the memories of even the gods can recall. Before the gods took control of the cosmos, the world was ruled by primordials and great elementals. In the tens of thousands of years since the war, countless conflicts have arisen between countless civilizations that themselves have risen and fallen with the many apocalytpic disasters that have sundered civilizations.

For tens of thousands of years, Ardrim has gone through the same cycles. Civilizations rise, prosper, and then fall dramatically with an apocalyptic event of some kind. Whether it be the Great Desolation, the War of Many Suns, the Great Iribalt War, or any of the other disastrous events that crippled the world, the peoples of Ardrim have managed to survive and rebuild.
