Abbaretz Order

The Order of the Abbaretz was founded in the year 602 by King Grigon Dreffeac (543-629) of Availe, a zealous patron of the Nozay faith. The order was founded as a countermeassure against rising schools of philosophy that threatened ideals held by established faiths - the Abbaretz, meaning academians were a group of scholars and nobillity of the Nozay faith who King Grigon would sponsor by creating the order. Giving crown sanctioned academies and schools where thousands of students of the noble classes or religious dynasties would be taught, including the royal dynasty. This created an expansive network and powerful web of the regions most distinguished figures of the faith and resulted in consequential foundings of other similar religious orders across Voreia, starting a period known as the Age of Devotism (620-863).
