Queen Clarynn is known primarily for ending the Monarchical Era and shepherding in a new era of democracy. Inspired by her success in negotiating the merfolk clan's partial independence during the Schism War, she officially announced Azmarin's transition to democracy in 7500 on the anniversary of King Namoros' coronation. She established the first Parliament and the Grand Jury, which formed the basis for Azmarin's current judicial system, which is now headed by a Grand Court. Her last act as queen was to appoint her closest adviser, the halfling Winston Elderberry, as the first governor of Azmarin after entrusting the development of the 4:4 rule (four year term, four term limit) to Parliament.
