able to morph her body into multiple shapes, Taran typically appears as a human-ish female with solid black eyes.

Apparel & Accessories

Taran typically wears a skin tight black body suit with a poncho made of spider silk over the top of it. Her main weapon is her spiders, but when that fails she uses the ritual tools of the High Priestess of Lolth. These being two spider-faced gauntlets with twin-blades attached where the fangs would typically be. These claws are known as the widiw's kiss and the embrace of the brown recluse.

Personal history

Born in the underdark, Taran was raised in near complete darkness in a small tribe of other Changelings. Taran never really knew who her parents away, but not because they were gone, more because Changelings are so fluid in appearence. This was never an issue for Taran however as the entire tribe raised her, teaching her their ways and how to use her innate powers. The tribe she was raised in were a brutal sort, having to fight for their survival against the dangers of the underdark. Although difficult, the tribe managed to survive each day by working together. That was until the drow arrived. The drow in the region were worshipers of the dark Goddess Lolth, mistress of spiders and lies. The drow demand sacrifices for Lolth from all nearby tribes, especially those too small to defend themselves. This is how Taran came to be in the presence of a high priestess of Lolth. Whilst the ritual of sacrifice was underway, a force within Taran was awakened. The venomous spiders used to execute the victims seemingly had little effect on Taran, even appearing to be affectionate towards her in their own spidery way. It was then that Taran realised she could control the spiders, using them to wipe out the drow and free whatever prisoners survived and claiming the ritual instruements of the priestess for her own. When she returned home, Taran foun her tribe had been wiped out by beasts of the underdark, finding the bodies of her true blood parents, Taran ran. she ran and ran and ran until she couldn't run anymore, running so far that she stumbeld upon an exit. An exit to the world above. Leaving the underdark, Taran found herself in a forest, a sight she could barely have dreamed of seeing. she quickly made a new home for herself with the spiders of the forest, living in peace for a good few years. After a long while, Taran encountered a party of adventurers from the guild of cardinal points. They invite her to come back to the guild hall, to join the guild and find a nrew family. Although Taran typically like to be by herself, spending many months on long quests deep in the forests of the world, she does enjoy spending time with other guild members, once they get over the whole "covered in spiders" thing.
