Physical Description

General Physical Condition

very sleek, agile cat with some muscle definition.

Body Features

Has a long, slender tail (resting position is drooping towards the floor with a slight curl at the end). Two rounded cat ears that have little tufts (like a lynx). Her paws are rather big and she has thumbs!

Facial Features

5 whiskers either side of a black nose. She has a small speck of ginger near her ears but it is only visible in bright sunlight

Identifying Characteristics

Her light brown fur and dark leopard print is a stand out. Most of her kind are golden with black markings.

Physical quirks

She has thumbs, rare for felines but extremely useful!

Special abilities

Cat eyes allowing her to see in the dark.

Apparel & Accessories

Leather Armour is her preference as with most felines she does not like to feel constrained. Her weapon of choice is a dagger because you won't know she is attacking until its way too late.

Specialized Equipment

Rescue Archaeology, can pretty much fix anything for a price. The price is she keeps it.

Personal history

Opal comes from a Tabaxi forest village, she lived with her parents Jet and Smokey. When she matured in age she was taught all their was to know about the family business: Rescue Archaeologist. As a family they went out on missions and took anything that they believed was not being looked after properly, as Tabaxi had no care for money or wealth these items could sometimes be trivial to any onlookers.
Opals last mission with her family was a heist. They had heard that a Cloud Giant, named Thoth has not been looking after a lamp that he had on his bedside table. So in the dead of night the 3 cats climbed into the giants castle and stole the rusty lamp, he did not deserve such a treasure! Objective complete, the lamp was theirs. Unfortunately, Smokey tripped on his way out and woke the giant up, the 3 of them were now running for their lives. Jet and Opal managed to make it out unscathed but Smokey, delayed by picking himself up was thrown from the giants tower. He fell several stories onto the forest below, his fall only broken by the thick undergrowth.
Opal and Jet raced to his aid but the damage was done, he had broken his spine, leaving him unable to move the right side of his body. The 3 managed to stagger home but this encounter forced the family business to fall through, Jet became a stay at home carer for Smokey and Opal spent her time studying to try and get a job in the human world. Smokey was displeased at the fact his family business had been abandoned due to his grave error and pulled Opal for a chat. He knew her mother would not be best please but he had to tell Opal his wishes, he wished that one day she would restart the rescue archaeology and bring back pride to the Eclipse name!
Opal took what her dad said to heart and decided that she would do whats best for her family. Using her studies she got a job working for a Guild, meaning she was able to provide for her family and explore! The perfect way to get back into rescue archaeology while completing guild missions!

Education

Self taught in artefacts of all species, has knowledge on restoration and has learnt to read maps.

Failures & Embarrassments

Once got caught high on catnip in a human village and reverted to a domestic cat state, she has yet to live this down.

Motivation

Her motivation is to continue the family legacy, she is now the only Tabaxi rescue archaeologist in her region. Without her who will treasure all the unloved items?

Likes: Catnip, Random Objects and Dogman Dislikes: People mistreating objects, Dogs in general and bagpipes.

Her cat like reflexes have saves many an object/ person from falling.

She can get high on catnip, not recommended if Opal is needed for something important.

Personality Quirks

Will sometimes push her fellow guilds items off tables. Opal will also shred bagpipes as soon as she sees them after being 'tortured' by a dwarf playing them badly once.

licks her fur at least 100 times a day, if not more. May also dip her paws into water if available.

Contacts & Relations

Opal doesnt really make friends in the guild, she is there to work and nothing more. However she does have a acquaintance in Dogman (suprisingly as he has a doggy smell), the two have been known to smoke a joint together. Dogman may or may not now be Opals supplier of catnip but the two of them have not confirmed this.

Family Ties

Close bond with her parents Jet and Smokey. She is also familiar with the other Tabaxi in her village, they are a close knit community.

Has no concept of etiquette, especially not in human society.

Her mannerisms are very much like a domestic cat, she acts on instinct and does what she pleases.

Her hobbies include studying object from all over the world and from different cultures. She is also know to partake in a spot of fishing but only from a very very sturdy pier.
