Edville Astallard

Edville Atallard (disowned) (a.k.a. Ed)

Born to a noble Human family, the Tiefling Edville was the unfortunate manifestation of the family's dark and hidden past. For as long as he could remember Edville was hidden away from the outside world, left alone with a vast library of magical (and non magical) texts, with all the time in the world to do what he loved most - to read.
While he was entirely self-taught, he became an accomplished wizard by digging through the research and notes of his ancestors. He did find it curious that so many scrolls were labeled "poison" and "acid", though...
Tired of his many years in solitude, Edville hatched a plan to sneak past the eerily silent servants of his family manor to pursue his (relatively new) dream of becoming a "Professional Wizard".

While his intelligence is unrivalled by most, he is generally not very perceptive. Edville is often blissfully unaware of his surroundings, and of the moods and feelings of those around him.
Initially coming across as eager to impress and quick to talk, Edville can be annoying at times, but he quickly settles into his element when given an unusual puzzle or mystery to solve.

Edville grew up in isolation and has a hard time reading other people, unable to determine if they like or dislike him. Currently, he is very pleased in thinking that he is making a friend in the form of Caleb the Direwolf. Unfortunately, it would seem that Ed's habit of misreading people (and animals) has struck again and Caleb does not reciprocate this friendship, but simply cannot tell Edville, because Wolves can't speak.
