When a human enters the The Archipelago of Seasons, they may stay for a few years or months or decades. But on the 10th of February 1940, when preparations for war were going on, many citizens were getting sick. Doctors and Plaguekids had theorized that past generations had contracted a weaker version of the disease, which grew stronger over the next generations. The disease also passed to friends and families who also had families over generations until it led to the generations now getting severely infected.

Causes

Dr Mintoy (Nintoy) Dokokanta had theorized that the past generations had contracted it from the natural nature of the The Archipelago of Seasons because it mas made to accommodate beasts much better than humans, but they found a way.

Symptoms

Large white boils appear on your skin at first along your arms, legs, crotch, neck and head. These boils have the strange effect of making the limbs asleep, so they do not function. Then, after a few days, the victim goes into a coma. Another strange aspect is that none of the human's asleep age and remains immortal but uncomfortable in their coma. Soon enough, the boils eject all their puss and become a deep shade of red, with some non-fatal bleeding occurring which gives it it's name.

Treatment

A Nomad has been sent in order to find the treatment, but until then, there is none at the moment.

Prognosis

It is unknown, but by the hundreds of years that went by, it is safe to say these are the only effects that the disease conjures.

Affected Groups

The disease only affects the humans who had made contact with the The Archipelago of Seasons, or with another human who had made contact with it.

Prevention

The Archipelago of Seasons is under a strict lockdown. No human is to come into the premises unless they are wearing a thick protective gas mask and hazmat suit and a permit issued by a government.

Epidemiology

The disease enters the past generation when they contact the island, and over the next generations, the disease gets stronger and stronger. Along with this, direct contact will cause the disease to spread from family to family.

Cultural Reception

There is a mixed reception between people and the disease. Some feel pity for the humans, many of the beasts were evolved from humans with strange mutation whilst many anti-human groups had a neutral response to the disease, either agreeing with those who felt pity or feeling little remorse. The government had at first deemed it unimportant as they were preparing a strategy to expand the K'aisi-Japanese Empire, but there had been plans to send a Homunculus Nomad/Naozhso to find a cure.
