Dájnhåntiu/N̄uconihēdo/Danmånd/Hand of Denmark/Blade of the Hand

Mechanics & Inner Workings

There isn't something special about it, no runes, no technology. It's just a sword.

History

The sword was an old Germanic Oakeshott Type XVIIIb sword forged in the mid 15th Century. It had a few users until it was stolen in a failed Helmgar invasion of Germany, broken, and then reforged. It would be passed down from Helmgar to Helmgar until it came to the hands of another Helmgar. At this time, the sword had been reforged with meteor exterior metal to make it somewhat lighter but still maintain its durability. It was in the hands of a Helmgar called 'Dájnbuud' after his experience of sleeping on a whale and nearly going to sea.   After such an experience, Dájnbuud had gotten Crippling Thalasaphobia, fear of deep water, making him unfit for his military service. To try and fix these fears, he became a Nomad/Naozhso to find personal enlightenment, taking Dájnbuud as his weapon instead of the regular chokuto. He would then become one of the greatest Beastial duelists of his time and earning him his new name, 'Kivår̈amu,' as his sword was his good luck charm.

Significance

To Kivår̈amu, his sword was a good luck charm that allowed him to win so many battles in his time. It had survived many battles as it only needed to be restored rather than repaired, and thus it was seen as a good sign.
