History
There are a lot of nice winds in the The Archipelago of Seasons, and since wind is considered a strong element because it is its own force without being classified into a single element, many cultural practices will revolve around the wind.
A popular Nomadic tradition is to wake up and find the highest accessible point in the area and face the wind that comes with a cloak blowing in the opposite direction. It is said to kickstart a good day if you can smell the winds with sea salt in them like you can in the The Archipelago of Seasons. This isn't much of a ceremony or tradition, but an exercise.
Execution
1. When a new day starts, get out of your yurt and wear your cloak, preferably a cloth cloak, so that it can move freely. Make sure your cloak is open to let the wind in.
2. Locate an easily accessible high area, make sure it is safe, and you can get down.
3. Once in the area, find which way the wind blows and face it. Find another site if the way the wind is facing is blocked
4. Face the area, letting the wind hit your body and lift your cloak.
5. Take in the smell of the wind. Sweet and Pungent aromas mean a storm might be coming. A mix of sulphur and burnt wood means a tornado or a fire. Sweet smells near trees mean Autumn is coming, a time when all Nomads stop moving and settle down in a yurt. Salty or Fishy smells are good for nomads because a body of water may be nearby where they can rest to find civilisation, hygiene and food. Dying odours or pleasant scents on occasion can mean summer is approaching when Nomads must move at night. Crisp, cool air means winter is coming. Flower aromas, of course, means Spring will soon come.
Components and tools
Only require a nice cloth cloak, which Nomads always have on them due to their more restrictive and isolated lifestyle.
Observance
The rites have been observed to be done every time a Nomad wakes up in the morning. Times, of course, vary from place to place due to the time zone.
