The Umbral Bayou

Where the Haunted Realm and Shadowglade meet, the combined gloom from both regions merge into an unnatural dark haze. This tenebrous swamp is referred to as the Umbral Bayou by the few who have gotten close enough to know about it. Tales tell that the place is trapped in eternal nighttime, and that strange shadows and hopelessly lost souls wander the mire. Those same tales warn of a malevolent power that ensnares anyone foolish enough to enter; noone has returned from the deepest depths of the bayou to confirm this.
