Yurp’s instincts were correct, there is a deposit of the silverfluid here! This stuff is said to be common in Subterranea, but requires effort to retrieve, so its availability in this mine is a great boon for all of us.
Per Yurp’s instructions, we are to spend three weeks here, collecting as much as possible. The client wants a ton of this stuff. I can understand why, it seems really potent in arcane energy.

We had a little accident; some of the silverfluid was spilled by accident. Ah well, what’s a dozen coins in a mountain of gold? We’ll be rich soon! I don’t know where Yurp found out about this mine, but the boss certainly has some smart connections.

There’s a weird sickness spreading through the miners. Their eyes are dilated, they seem absent of their usual thoughts (don’t talk, just groan), and they meander erratically. Like zombies, but not aggressive. I’ve had to quarantine 7 people so far, hopefully that’s enough to stop the spread.
A few folks are starting to say that the mine is haunted. I’ll do my best to keep them focused on the task at hand so we can all go home rich.

Situation escalated. 20 people are now ill, and 3 are dead. The sick folk are acting more aggressively now, like actual zombies, but stronger. Their dark eyes are creepy; even when I break eye contact, their weird glare fogs my mind. We’ve managed to quarantine the infected in the west chamber, but I’m very worried we won’t be able to help them, which would be a devastating loss.
Did I jinx the operation? Why is this happening to us? Is the mine actually haunted?

Now the entire camp is infected.

I found a journal here, someone named Yurp
wonder who wrote this journal?
The writing looks a lot like mine.
