Far Reach

A "barbarian" settlement, at least according to the "civilized" people of Sigil. As the name suggests (though it's inhabitants call it Ozgur Vatan), it is a particularly far-flung city founded centuries ago by wandering nomads of the Knockdale Lowlands who were ostracized from Sigil. Their existence has been an affront to Sigil traditionalists ever since, however, the city had been willing to let sleeping dogs lie, until recently. in 1216, Sigil quietly invaded Far Reach and currently occupies it. They claim it was because "barbarian terrorists" had staged an attempt to destroy Sigil, but the conclusion of The Long Shadow Conflicts revealed an ulterior motive: Sigil required sea access to construct a fleet of warships to enact their plan to conquer Cognance. To this day, Far Reach remains subjugated to the new Haedian Empire.
