Estmere

As the closest of the great city-states to Eodur, Estmere takes on significantly more administrative duties than the others. Situated on the northern banks of the Great Lake Eoten, Estmere was founded in the wake of the human reclamation of Eodur after the Second Abyssal War. Originally founded as a fishing settlement to facilitate humanity's rapid expansion, it saw a second wave of growth after a canal was built on the southwestern bank of the lake, connecting it to the Glittering Sea. With new trade routes opened to the Sylvanlands and Lapis Teras that circumvented the dangerous land routes through the Feldren Badlands and the Drugoda Desert, Estmere became an essential trade hub for the region.
During the events of The Extinction War, Estmere was sieged and later destroyed by the extraplanar Slaadi hordes. However, as the world rebuilt itself, a new settlement was built atop its ruins, and now Estmere continues to thrive as the city Taron.
