Antecean Pantheon
Before they cast aside their gods, the Anteceans worshipped a pantheon comprised of a dozen primary deities and upwards of hundreds of minor ones.
The following are the primary pantheon of gods and goddesses the Anteceans venerated:
- Lovem. (Loah-vehm) King of the Gods. His domain was that of kings, storms, and the sky.
- Mare. (mahr-ay) Lady of the Seas. Her domain was the ocean, tides, and ships.
- Tenebris. (ten-eh-briss) Lord of the Dead. His domain was the underworld and was seen as a guide for those who had passed on.
- Sol. (sohl). Prince of the Sun. His domain was both the physical embodiment of the sun and life derived from it.
- Luma. (loo-mah). The Lunar Queen. Her domain was the moon, night, and the stars. She was also venerated as the patron of hunters and woodsmen.
- Troporum. (troe-por-uhm). God of the Forge. His domain was that of crafters, smiths, and builders.
- Cere. (seer-ay). Queen of Knowledge. Her domain was academia and learning, as well as strategy and cunning.
- Amare. (ah-mahr-ay). Goddess of Love. Her domain was love, companionship, as well as more... tawdry aspects.
- Xorem. (zor-ehm). Goddess of Life. Her domain was both that of birth and the concept of life in general.
- Alas. (al-less). Lord of Communication. His domain was the concept of language as well as sending messages.
- Bellator. (bell-ah-tor). God of War. His domain is self-explanatory.
- Syliva. (Sill-ih-vah). Goddess of Nature. Hers was the domain of life, growth, and eternal spring.
- Somnius. (Sohm-nee-us). God of Dreams. He oversaw the realms of visions, both sleeping and waking. She was also often considered the patron of the arcane arts.
- Vinum. (vin-uhm). Prince of Celebration. His domain encompassed the wholesome concepts of celebration and adulation, as well as the more primal domains of revelry and debauchery.
