Takan
Takan is a thin woven wool fabric, similar to gossamer but more sturdy, that is used to make most Ronan clothing. They usually wear it in earth tones, and it is almost always layered and embroidered. Higher quality Takan is made by shapers that sing over the materials as they are woven, imbuing the cloth with durability and comfort. Takan is a shortened version of the ancient words for 'hunting cloth', which is how people used to refer to the layered tunics and vests donned by the Ronar of old.

A common colour is the golden brown colour of the dye extracted from sweetgale, a common shrub in the regions controlled by the Ronar.

There is a significant portion of the population in Ronan towns and villages that spins the cloth, as well as a substantial population within those clothmakers that produces sung cloth. It is most common in Ronan lands, closely followed by the North Islands, though it can be found in most regions due to trade.
