Archmage of the Grey Tower

Qualifications

The Archmage must have a mastery of magic, and have sworn their life to the Grey Mages and the defense of the Grey Tower.

Requirements

The Archmage must have been a member of the Grey Council upon appointment.

The Grey Council is responsible for selecting and electing an Archmage.

Duties

The Archmage must defend the Grey Tower and its archives to the best of their ability.

Benefits

The Archmage is able to access all of the Grey Tower's archives, and has all of their living requirements covered by the Grey Mages.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

The Archmage can be removed from office if they are not performing their duties to the satisfaction of the Grey Council. However, the Council would have to pass a vote of no confidence on the current Archmage, who would also be tested for their worthiness before action was taken.
