Sidhe-Ouron Speech and Expressions

Sidhe-Ouro is a land in which its people must daily contend with the truth behind their stories and legends. Almost all of these have a strong basis in reality, evidenced by the creatures and anomalies sighted regularly: pixies and sprites dart among trees and bushes, toying with travelers that stray too far into their territory; listen when a raven croaks, for it may well give you insight to your future; avoid the barrows at night, and what comes forth. It is natural, then, that these stories would color their daily speech. References to all kinds of stories and beasts fill common expressions, even if they are rather inscrutable to those unfamiliar with Sidhe-Ouron culture.

Geographical Distribution

Given their roots in native stories, these expressions are almost entirely limited to Sidhe-Ouro. On the occasion they are heard outside its borders, it usually comes from those who have traveled to and experienced occurrences in line with these tales.
